AUTOCATALYTIC FUTURE GAMES

Up, 2014, acrylic and oil on board, 41 x 30 cm (selected painting)

On a trajectory from Lascaux via aerosols, our bioaesthetic inheritance is cultivated beneath the inflated sun.  An accretion of stenciled hands in the darkness, then a trillion painted surfaces.

A group exhibition. A variation of structured gestures and analogue procedures. A compilation of paintings in 2015.

Paintings selected by each artist. Exhibition created and organised by playpaint.

One of my paintings, Façade (see below) has been selected by Richard Deacon for the biennial competition Creekside Open organised by the registered charity Art in Preparatory Trust. They received 685 applications for the competition and 60 artworks were selected by Deacon for the second show.

“This is the sixth time that we have run the biennial competition since the inaugural competition in 2005. This year A.P.T celebrates its twentieth anniversary and the CREEKSIDE OPEN 2015 is one of a number of events that will be holding this year to mark this achievement. Since its inception the CREEKSIDE OPEN has become one of London's foremost open competitions for visual artists."
